Map of the Settings

This map shows the area of San Francisco, the green circle is the area where Marcus lives and goes to school, and the red island is treasure island, where Marcus and his friends were held captive. The yellow line is the Golden Gate Bridge, a major landmark in San Francisco, and the black line is where the bay bridge, which was destroyed in this book, used to be. This map helped me understand the story a lot better because it allowed me to see the approximate areas of where the major events took place, and helped me figure out what was going on when the characters were running around, as they constantly did. I also added the black line at the bottom to represent the border of San Francisco and another city. This map also showed me that the Bay Bridge was actually a very big bridge, compared to what I had pictured from reading the book.
